Banana Orange Smoothie | Banana Orange Smoothies recipe

Banana Orange Smoothie, the crunchy, creamy textured and with natural sweetener from the bananas makes the smoothie a refreshing drink. Smoothies are quiet filling and delicious too.

My first ever completely off the routine recipe. I always prefer to enjoy the fruit as it is, making juices or smoothies are not my cup of tea. Consuming fruits directly is good for health instead of making juices.

But with the advent of internet we get to see so many varieties of fruit juices and smoothies, Which would make us alluring to try them at least once.

Smoothies are also good with lots of variants where we can cut added sugar. So I tried this recipe long back, it’s very easy and simple.

It is quiet filling too, we can skip one meal, either breakfast or lunch. Smoothies are not only filling they are instant energy boosters too.

Key Ingredients in Banana Orange Smoothie:

  • Orange: Use fresh fruit to get maximum taste of it. Remove the seeds and separate the segments.
  • Banana: Use fresh banana or we can use a little ripen one also.
  • Almonds: Soak 8 to 10 almonds for about 5 to 6 hours.
  • Milk: Use warm or boiled and cooled milk. We can use raw milk also tasyes differently.
  • Curd: Fresh home made curd would give a nice taste and texture to the smoothie.
  • Sweetener: We can always use dates, honey or sugar for extra sweetness. But extra sweetener means added calories, so try to cut them.
  • Nuts/Seeds: Seeds like pumpkin, melon seeds elevate the taste.

Steps involved:

  • Soaking nuts: Soak the nuts and seeds whatever using for at least 5 to 6 hours before hand.
  • Preparing the fruits: Separate the segments from orange, peel and cut the banana. If found seeds in orange remove them.
  • Use only fresh fruits.
  • Blending: Add all nuts and seeds, milk and curd blend them once. Then add remaining ingredients, blend it for a minute.
