Baby Potato Fry | How to make Baby Potato Fry

Baby potato fry, spicy, crunchy and flavorful baby potato fry. It is kids favorite side dish for rice.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 Grams Baby Potatoes
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Garam Masala Powder

Instructions
 

  • Wash baby potatoes thoroughly and pressure cook them for 2 to 3 whistles.
  • Once the cooker cools completely, transfer them onto a colander vessel.
  • Drain excess water and wash under running water.
  • This will cool them completely would be easy to remove the skin.
  • Remove the skin and Keep them aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai till the fumes comes out. Simmer the flame.
  • Add some portion of baby potatoes, leave them like that for a minute.
  • Then slowly fry them using stainless steel spatula.
  • Fry them till the outer part of them become crispy.
  • Transfer them to a bowl and keep aside.
  • Repeat the same with rest of potatoes.
  • Once all of them fried, transfer all of them into the kadai and fry.
  • While frying add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala.
  • Saute them well so that all the masalas combines well with potatoes.
  • Serve baby potato fry with hot piping rice.

Notes

Heat the oil till the fumes comes out.
This would make them fry crunchy without sticking to each other.
To avoid sticking each other better use only stainless steel spatula.
Do not fry all of them at one go.
Fry small portions.
