Hi friends, thank you all for visiting my website and @EATeasyvegrecipes youtube channel. Today’s recipe is sweet lassi. Sweet lassi is a yogurt or curd based beverage. Sweet lassi is a creamy, sweetened and chilled beverage mainly from Punjabi cuisine. But nowadays it is available everywhere in India. Lassi is of two types mainly sweet and salt. But now different varieties of lassis are available in markets. It is usually served after any meal (lunch or dinner) or as a coolant in the hot summer afternoons. I have a sweet memory from my childhood, during summer holidays we used to go to our native place #Nellore. There is a small food joint in our native serves the best sweet lassi recipe. We used to have it everyday during our stay in Nellore. The vendor used to decorate it with a thick cream and plenty of dry fruits on top of it. But in the present recipe I am adding any cream. Curd or yougurt is the key ingredient in lassi and so the whole taste depends on it. I normally make curd at home and use it. I make sure that it doesn’t taste sour to make the perfect lassi.

Sweet Lassi Recipe

Sweet lassi is a yogurt or curd based beverage. Sweet lassi is a creamy, sweetened and chilled beverage mainly from Punjabi cuisine.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 1 tbsp Milk(optional)
  • 2 tbsp Sugar/Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 tbsp Dry Fruits
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 5 to 7 Ice Cubes
Procedure:

  1. Take 1/2 cup curd in a blender jar or in a deep veseel.
  2. If you are using whisk to make use vessel.
  3. If making in blender jar, combine all the ingredients in it.
  4. Add all the other ingredients like, cinnamon powder, sugar or powdered sugar and milk.
  5. Blend it till it is frothy.
  6. Add ice cubes and blend again.
  7. Transfer it into serving tumblers.
  8. Sprinkle some dry fruits and cinnamon powder.
  9. If using wire whisk, whisk it for 2 to 4 minutes.
  10. First whisk adding water and sugar.
  11. Then add cinnamon powder and milk and whisk again for 2 minutes.
  12. Serve chilled sweet lassi.
