Sweet Lassi | How to make Sweet Lassi | (Punjabi Lassi)

Sweet lassi is a yogurt or curd based beverage. Sweet lassi is creamy, sweetened and chilled beverage mainly from Punjabi cuisine.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 1 tbsp Milk optional
  • 2 tbsp Sugar/Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 tbsp Dry Fruits
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 5 to 7 Ice Cubes

Instructions
 

  • Take 1/2 cup curd in a blender jar or in a deep veseel.
  • If you are using whisk to make use vessel.
  • If making in blender jar, combine all the ingredients in it.
  • Add all the other ingredients like, cinnamon powder, sugar or powdered sugar and milk.
  • Blend it till it is frothy.
  • Add ice cubes and blend again.
  • Transfer it into serving tumblers.
  • Sprinkle some dry fruits and cinnamon powder.
  • If using wire whisk, whisk it for 2 to 4 minutes.
  • First whisk adding water and sugar.
  • Then add cinnamon powder and milk and whisk again for 2 minutes.
  • Serve chilled sweet lassi.

Notes

The measurements given are sufficient for 4 people. If you want for more people increase the quantities accordingly.
Always use fresh curd, the curd should not be sour in taste.
Adding cream and dry fruits purely optional.
