Ragi Java or Finger Millet porridge, is one of the best beverage to beat the summer heat. A simple, healthy porridge made with ragi flour. This helps in keeping the body cool and light during hot summer days.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Ragi Flour
  • 2 Cups Water
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1 Cup Curd or Butter Milk

Instructions
 

  • Mix 1 tbsp ragi flour and water. Make slurry with it.
  • Chop onions and fresh coriander leaves.
  • In a thick bottom vessel boil water till rolling boil.
  • Add salt and ragi slurry to the boiling water.
  • Allow it to cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • While stirring continuously.
  • Cook it in low flame and keep stirring it.
  • Switch off the flame and allow it to cool.
  • Add curd or buttermilk in a mixing bowl and churn it.
  • Add salt if necessary, add ragi java.
  • Mix it well and serve chilled.
  • Serve chilled Ragi Java with added chopped onions and coriander leaves.
