Pachi pulusu is mainly a summer dish in Telugu states of India. Unlike regular pulusu, pachi pulusu is an uncooked version of the tamarind soup. It is light watery and thin soup. It has tangy, sweet and spicy taste.

- 1 tbsp Tamarind
- 1 Onion
- 2 Green Chillis
- Salt to Taste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Seed Powder
- 1/2 tsp Jaggery
- 1/2 tbsp Oil
- 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
Chop onions and green chillis.
Soak tamarind in water for half an hour.
Extract thin tamarind juice.
In a mixing bowl add chopped onion and salt.
Squeeze and mix it well.
This would make onions get moisture.
Add them to the tamarind juice.
Add turmeric powder and coriander seeds powder.
Mix them while squeezing to absorb the flavours into the tamarind juice.
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves and coriander leaves.
When the mustard start spluttering add the tadka to the tamarind juice.
Mix it well and serve.
Serve Pachi Pulusu with rice or you can enjoy it as it is.
