Ginger garlic paste is a fundamental ingredient in many Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines, serving as a flavour foundation for numerous dishes.

- 250 Grms Ginger
- 250 Grms Garlic
- Salt to Taste
- 1 tbsp Oil optional
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder optional
Peel the skin of ginger and wash it thoroughly.
Peel the skin of garlic.
In a blender jar add ginger and garlic.
Blend it to make smooth fine paste.
Add salt and blend it again.
Add oil and turmeric powder for longer shelf life.
Adding oil and turmeric is purely optional though.
I sometimes do not add even salt.
Store it in an airtight container.
Use ginger garlic paste in curries, dal, biryanis, and any special rice.
