Ginger garlic paste is a fundamental ingredient in many Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines, serving as a flavour foundation for numerous dishes.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 Grms Ginger
  • 250 Grms Garlic
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil optional
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Peel the skin of ginger and wash it thoroughly.
  • Peel the skin of garlic.
  • In a blender jar add ginger and garlic.
  • Blend it to make smooth fine paste.
  • Add salt and blend it again.
  • Add oil and turmeric powder for longer shelf life.
  • Adding oil and turmeric is purely optional though.
  • I sometimes do not add even salt.
  • Store it in an airtight container.
  • Use ginger garlic paste in curries, dal, biryanis, and any special rice.
