5-Minute Karivepaku Majjiga – The Ayurvedic Summer Drink You Need!
Karivepaku majjiga or curry leaves buttermilk to control our thirst and to keep cool during hot summer days.

- 1 Cup Fresh Curd home made or store bought
- 1 tbsp Curry Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 3" inches long Ginger
- Salt to Taste
Cut ginger into small pieces.
Discard curry leaves from the stems.
Wash and keep them ready.
In a blender jar add all the ingredients, ginger pieces, salt, cumin seeds powder and curry leaves.
Blend them to make paste.
Add curd and blend it again till it turns frothy.
Adding ice cubes is a choice.
Pour the curry leaves buttermilk in serving tumblers.
Add little water if the buttermilk is thick.
Serve Karivepaku majjiga chilled.
Take fresh curd, we can use home made or store bought curd.
Karivepaku majjiga is neither too thick nor too thin.
The texture of it is like that of sweet lassi.
