Ingredients
– 1 cup Flax Seeds – 1 tbsp Urad Dal – 1 tbsp Chana Dal – 10 Red Chillis – 12 Garlic – Salt to Taste – 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds – Pebble-size Tamarind – 1 tsp Oil
– Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a pan. – Add urad dal and fry till they change colour. – Once urad dal started changing colour add chana dal and saute them together. – Transfer them to a plate and keep them aside.
– Again heat 1/2 tsp oil and add cumin seeds. – As they start crackling add red chillis and tamarind. – Lastly add garlic and saute them again. – Keep them aside to cool.
– Clean the kadai and add flax seeds and dry roast them. – Roast them till they crackle. – Keep them aside to cool.
– In a blender jar add red chillis, tamarind and dals. – Do not add garlic and salt here. – Blend them coarsly. – Add flax seeds and again blend them. – Add garlic and blend once again. – Lastly add salt and combine all of them once again.
