Potlakaya Perugu Pachadi
Potlakaya perugu pachadi or snake gourd thayir
chutney. Yogurt or perugu is an integral part of Andhra cuisine. Without which a meal is incomplete.
– 2 cm Long Snake Gourd/Potlakaya
– 3 Gree Chillis
– Salt to Taste
– 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
– 2 Cups Curd
- Tadka
Ingredients
:
– 1 Tbsp Oil
– 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
– 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
– 5 to 7 Curry Leaves
– 1 Tsp Asafoetida
Tadka
:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida.
Add curry leaves and green chillis, add chopped potlakaya pieces, salt and turmeric.
Step 1:
Saute them well and add salt and turmeric powder.
Cook till it become soft and mushy on a medium flame.
Step 2:
Once done, allow this to cool.
Add curd to the cooked vegetable and mix it well.
Serve potlakaya perugu pachadi with rice or roti.
