simple summer drinks

To stay hydrated, especially during summer, aim to drink plenty of fluids, particularly water, throughout the day, and consider adding hydrating foods like fruits and vegetables to your diet.  Try to add some interesting drinks like jal jeera, salt lassi, mango lassi, sweet lassi, and last but not the least pudina pani.

– 1/2 Ltr Chilled Water – 1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves – 1/4 Cup Mint Leaves – 1/2 Tsp Roasted Cumin Powder check instructions – 1/2 Tsp Black Salt – 1/2 Tsp Dry Mango Powder – Salt to Taste – 3 inches Long Ginger – 1 Tsp Asafoetida – 4 Lemons – 1/2 Tsp Sugar – 4 Ice Cubes – 1 Tbsp Plain Boondi optional

Jal Jeera

– In a blender jar add all the ingredients except lemon juice and water. – Blend them to make a fine paste. – Sieve jal jeera paste to get fine extract. – In a serving jar, add jal jeera paste, water and mix them well. – Pour the jal jeera into serving tumblers. – Add ice cubes as per chillness. – Sprinkle some plain boondi to get a nice crunchy flavour. – Serve jal jeera chilled during the hot summer day.

– 1/2 cup Curd – 1/2 cup Water – Salt to Taste – 1 tsp Ginger – 1 tsp Green Chillis – 2 Lemons – 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Seed Powder – 5 to 7 Ice Cubes – 3 to 4 Mint Leaves(optional) – Fistful of Coriander Leaves(optional)

Salt Lassi

1. In a blender jar add curd and water. 2. Add salt and roasted cumin powder. 3. Blend them once. 4. Add ginger and green chillis. 5. Add ice cubes also. And blend them again. 1. Transfer the blended salt lassi into serving tumblers. 2. Drop 1 or 2 pieces of ice cubes. 3. Sprinkle a pinch of roasted cumin powder and little coriander leaves. 4. Squeeze lemon juice of 1/2 lemon each. 5. Serve chilled salt lassi.

Salt Lassi

– 1 Cup Fresh Curd – 1 Cup Fresh Mango – 1 Cup Sugar – 1 tbsp Dry Fruits – 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp Kesar – 1 tbsp Cream – 1/4 cup Milk

Mango Lassi

- Peel the skin of mangoes and cut it into cubes. - In a blender jar blend mango to make juice of it. - Add sugar and curd. - If the curd is sour add milk. - Blend it again for 2 minutes. - Add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits(optional), ice cubes and blend it again till it is creamy. - Pour into the serving tumblers. - Season mango lassi with cream, and chopped dry fruits. - Serve chilled mango lassi immediately.

Mango Lassi

-– 1/2 Cup Curd – 1 tbsp Milk(optional) – 2 tbsp Sugar/Powdered Sugar – 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder – 1 tbsp Dry Fruits – 1/2 Cup Water – 5 to 7 Ice Cubes

Sweet Lassi

– 1/4 Cup Mint Leaves/Pudina – 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp Black Pepper Seeds – 1/4 Tsp Jal Jeera Powder – 1/4 Tsp Black Salt/Kaala Namak – Salt to Taste – 2 Lemon – 1/2 Tsp AamChur Powder/Dry Mango Powder – 2 Cups water

Pudina Pani

- In a blender jar add mint leaves, black pepper seeds and cumin seeds. - Blend them to make fine paste. Add little water. - Add salt, and dry mango powder and again blend it once. - Squeeze lemon juice into serving tumblers. - Add jal jeera powder and kala namak or black salt, add ice cubes. - Pour the above made pudina water mix. - Add a rind of lemon. - Mix it well and serve chill.
